The safety laser scanner PSENscan provides two-dimensional area monitoring with an opening angle of 275 d
egrees and a protected field range of up to 5.5 metres. Thanks to the free configuration of warning fields and protected fields, plus the ability to adapt to structural conditions, the safety laser scanners are ideal for integrating into the widest range of applications. Use the safety laser scanners PSENscan in particular for stationary and mobile safeguarding as well as access monitoring!
When combined with configurable small controllers PNOZmulti or the controllers PSSuniversal, you have a complete, economical, one-stop solution.

Stationary safeguarding of danger zones
The safety laser scanners PSENscan detect when someone is approaching a hazardous movement. If a warning field is accessed, there is controlled braking of the hazardous movement; if the protected field is accessed, the movement is stopped.
Encroachment from behind
Where it is difficult to see into danger zones, safety laser scanners PSENscan detect a person's current location and prevent the hazardous movement from re-starting.
Access protection
The safety laser scanners PSENscan provide optimum protection on access points to danger zones, preventing access to people. Thanks to integrated muting inputs, they are also suitable for applications in which material is transported in and out.
Safeguarding of automated guided vehicles
Reliable safeguarding of automated guided vehicles (AGV) is required in order to protect people and objects from harm. The safety laser scanner PSENscan detects objects in the vehicle's path and provides maximum safety even at high speeds, without compromising productivity.
Safe all round: AGVs can enjoy all-round protection with just two safety laser scanners. The 2D laser scanners detect objects in the vehicle's path and so ensure that the AGV brakes in good time.
Always the right protected field
If the vehicle's speed should change, then the danger zone changes too. Integrated encoder inputs enable protected fields and warning fields to be adapted to the current speed, so avoiding unnecessary stops.
Safe cornering
Various protected fields and warning fields can be configured to ensure safe travel even when cornering. It is possible to switch to the appropriate protected field and warning field to suit the current travel route.
Have the complete picture
The safety laser scanners PSENscan measure the distance of objects in its environment. This information can be used for direct navigation of the automated guided vehicles.

With PSENscan you can monitor up to three safety zones simultaneously and independently. Only the plant section that a person accesses is stopped. As a result, safety distances on your plant can be optimised. This ensures increased productivity and improved ergonomics for your plant – with optimum safety.
Simple configuration thanks to series connection
Up to 4 safety laser scanners PSENscan can be connected in accordance with the master-slave principle. In this case the configuration is made centrally on the master scanner and is then passed to the slaves. The power supply to the slaves is also provided via the master.
